Drummer Ali Massoudi
Today’s guest is drummer Ali Massoudi, and in this episode we explore the unique percussion traditions of Iran and get an introduction to Persian music with a focus on the tombak and daff.
Ali Massoudi has been playing several percussion instruments and collaborating with a number of music scholars, ensembles and orchestras. Massoudi has performed in Iran, France, Belgium, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, China, and Canada, where he currently resides.
